Summer Party - 26th August
Despite distinctly unsummery weather we all had great fun at the Bags of Books Summer Party! Many thanks to Wishworks who performed a wonderful puppet show in the morning, entertaining children and adults alike. In the afternoon everyone enjoyed making their own puppets, drawing, having their faces painted, and chasing the many stray balloons around the shop!
Small Knight & George
Ronda and David Armitage
author and illustrator of
"The Lighthouse Keeper"
series of books came along to the shop on 10th July to
read from "Small Knight and George and the Royal Chocolate Cake"
Afterwards everyone decorated their very own Special Royal Chocolate Cupcake!!
Nicola Killen - Not Me
On Wednesday June 9th
new author Nicola Killen came
and read from her new book "Not Me".
After the reading there was the opportunity
to make printed head dresses with Nicola
which was enjoyed by all.
"Not Me" is an irresistibly charming book
for the very young. Don't miss it!
