Coraline
by Neil Gaiman

"Recently I read Coraline by Neil Gaiman. I think this is one of the best books he has written because it involves comedy, some action and scary bits.

It also has some really likable charactors and keeps a clever storyline throughout the book.

There is a graphic novel and film as well if you prefer.

It's a bit different to the books I usually read but I really enjoyed it and it has a really individual style."

Scorpio
Anthony Horowitz

"I really enjoyed reading this book as the action begins on the 1st page. Like all the other Alex Rider books there is a brilliant plot, usually involving someone planning to destroy thousands of people in an evil way. I love the way Anthony Horowitz makes everything in the book seem possible.

In the book Alex Rider, the main character, goes to France to look for a group of people. He has been told that they can tell him something about his parents, who were killed. Unfortunately he gets mixed up in a deadly adventure that if it went wrong could have fatal results,

It is much easier to relate to Alex as he is more likely to be near your age than an adult. It is the sort of book you can read again and again."
